Southern Combination Football League - 1st team fixtures dates & times, league tables & results

It has been a meteoric rise for Loxwood FC from the depths of the local West Sussex Football League. 16 years and 8 promotions later we now ply our trade in the Premier Division of the full Sussex County League, finishing in a top six spot in our inaugural season, 2015 and most recently last season 2016/17. In 2016 we made more history when competing in the FA Cup for the first time, having made our debut in the FA Vase in 2015. We are twice winners of the U18 Sussex County Cup. Our pitch and facilities continue to improve, befitting our Senior Football Club status, with floodlights, hard spectator standing around the pitch, a 100-seater stand, a modern clubhouse and a new covered stand in 2016 which have all come as a result of significant local fundraising, sponsors and grant applications. The Plaistow Road pitch is now regarded as one of the best playing surfaces in Sussex. Indeed last season we hosted a County Cup semi-final and final. We put a lot of our success down to the following key factors: 1) A culture that places no one individual bigger than the club. 2) A dedicated committee, full of good people, that has the disciplines and standards expected of a well-run Senior Football Club 3) Ambition to grow - sustainable, community based junior programme 4) Investing in player and spectator facilities for the future 2015/16 was a landmark season for the Club achieving Charter Standard Club status covering its open age sides, U18, 15, 14 and 12 teams. This is the footballing equivalent of the BS kite mark, recognition that we meet the FA standard for our administration and coaching. Last season, 2016/17, the Loxwood Youth Football Club was formed in earnest with 200 Junior players spanning U6 to U18s. In 2017/18 we are pushing to establish one of our key strategic pillars, attaining Full FA Community Club accreditation. This will include the introduction of our first girls junior team at U7 with a planned second team in 2018/19. Whatever your age, gender or ability, there should be a place for you at the club whilst ensuring we position Local Community Youth football as the primary building block on which Loxwood FC can be sustained going forward.
